Nah dont put any think else in it. If your gonna get a canister filter anyway get the 75 and just use the same filtration and heat in it. Thats how my parents let me have bigger tanks. The problem is the electricity bill.

my dad just does want anymore water in the house(only have one 55) and he doesnt know if our floor can support the weight. if i got a 75 i wouldnt be getting these fish. what about a
1 mosaic gar
1 bichir
1 green terror or EBJD

does that mean you already have the tank? most 55 gallon stands will fit 75 gallon tanks. For some reason people have this idea that a 75 gallon tank must be way bigger then a 55 gallon tank but it's really practically the same dimensions, just wider and much much better for your fish

Edit: i just saw your new post. i say the fish you originally wanted would work for awhile

Does he realize that the floor is already supporting over 460lbs? (the water alone weighs 458.7lbs). A 75 gallon would be 625.5 lbs of water, and I'm no carpenter, but I would think that if your floor can support 458.7lbs+, it should be able to hold 625.5lbs.
