I have a wood flood and the foundation is raised of the ground and he bulid the house so if he says it couldn't it prob couldn't. It should support a 75 but he just doesn't want more water

Either you have an oddly built stand, or they've changed the design of 55 gallon stands since I got mine. My 55g (which is a Marineland that has been sitting in storage for at least 5 years) fits perfectly into the stand with no extra room, so the only way you could make a 75g fit on it would be if you cut off the part that holds the tank in place, then put the new tank on it with a 3" overhang on the front and on the back.ballinouttacntrol;4706159; said:well, i've bought two 55 gallon tanks in my life and were able to upgrade to 75 gallon tanks without having to buy a new stand. i assumed that most manufactured and not home made stands probably are made to work for both. i can still fit a power strip on my current stand after upgrading to a 75 gallon and there's still an inch or 2 in the front.
