Is this pothos

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, it's pothos; not too certain what you mean by semi-aquatic. Their roots and main rhizome can be submersed in water (recommend pruning roots and propagating from the parent plant, as I usually get better initial growth rates) but the leaves will not fare well long-term underwater.

Yea I meant like roots under water plant over water

I’ll keep that in mind but it’s Gonna go in my Oscar’s tank and if it’s under water…yeah that’s self explanatory

My O liked to push them around and explore through them but that's it. When he was small he'd sleep in the vines. Actually my acaras and severrum would strip and eat them all the time but I had enough in there they couldn't go through it all.

it will do fine partly submerged but it takes a bit of time to rebound. especially if it came from a soil pot. in my experience it takes about 2 weeks for the roots to convert to submerged from soil. it can take months for the plant to accept being submerged itself. i have one that about 3 months in thats just starting to take off and its 70% submerged leaves and all. in 3 months its only shed 3 leafs. grown 4. but now its shooting runners off like crazy so i suspect its going to start picking up pace.

Pothos, is kind of a catchall term for plants in the Arum clade, but yes that is the species used often in aquaria because it doesn't;t mind having its feet constantly submerged
You can tan take cuttings and submerge the cut stems, and they will do fine with roots hanging in the tank, but is best "not " to submerge the leaves
