Is this tank worth the money?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you all for the inputs.... I will skip this one and wait on a more reasonable price for something... if pet smart has the 125 with all that for 700.00 that is a good deal.

thanks

definite pass

Hmm.... I think that would be a worse deal than before unless it's new.

NOT what? Not worth it? what is a good price?

Not worth it. not even close. It's a funny thing about aquariums, they are SO expensive when you buy them new. But they lose value worse than a mobile home. Often you run across people like the one you are talking about. People who think that because they spent a butt load of money on the set up they should get most of it back to minimize their losses. I understand the thought, but it irritates me when I see people asking $600 for a 120 set up when if they would get on Craigslist and look they would see that comparable tanks are going for $200-$300.
Anyway, get on Craigslist and look. You may not find a great deal today, maybe not even tomorrow, but you will find one. You may even have to drive a little ways depending on how rural of an area you live in.
I have bought several tanks over the past few months. All off of Craigslist.
Example- I bought a 120g tall including stand, filtration hoods, heaters, chemicals, food the whole 9 and lots of extras. Even included fish. Gave $100 for it. Had to drive 90 miles one way to pick it up, but well worth the trip.
