this is what I would do in your place, to avoid bloat and any other aggression type death.
I would divide the tank in a way to isolate the pairs from each other, with egg crate, so each pair they can see each other, or at least one other pair . This will hopefully keep each pair bonded. Remove the non paired individuals to a separate tank in reserve as replacement for any individual killed by its mate.
