Is trading an itouch for a beerded dragon SETUP a good idea?

no the bulbs they sell at home depot are for plants. they dont emit enough UV for reps.

i bulk order my bulbs online from dealers like LLL Reptile and so on. depends who has what on sale. i buy enough to last me a year. i swap mine out every 4-5 months or so. i dont know how much im saving ordering them online, i like the fact that i can do it online and they get delivered to my house.

but other stuff can be bought at home depot for a fraction of the cost of a pet shop. you just have to know where to look.

i buy my substrates, lights, fixtures (both Floresent(sp?) and dome) bulbs, spray bottles and so on there. and everything is a fraction of the cost and stuff tends to last a whole lot longer. halogen spot light bulbs can last beyond a year, i have ones thats been used for about 2 years now. bulbs from the petshop last me about 3 months lol.

that my friend no one can tell you because in the apatite department every beardie is diffrent. Also depending on age-- as they get older most beardies change from a mostly insect diet to a mostly veggie diet.
