:ROFL:Hell no she hasn't read that post, ghengis!
I did have to check her on it, though.
The bottom line is, I simply will not be told what to do, no matter what it is. It's my hobby, it's my money & my time, she never has to deal with it at all. I love my girl & treat her great, but she tries to be controlling sometimes, & I just won't have any of it. I have never told her what she can & can't do, ever. I expect the same courtesy. She knows I never have & never will, so she really couldn't argue with me about it. Problem solved.
People, don't let your spouse set the rules for you, whether it's this hobby or anything else in life that you may be interested in. I have seen spineless guys who bend over backwards & take crap from thier wives, & women who are too scared to stand up to thier husbands, & they end up miserable eventually unless they are the type that likes being told what to do. Everyone is equal & deserves to be able to do what they damn well please & follow thier passion, as long as nobody is getting hurt LOL.

:ROFL:At least my wife doesn't say "our tanks" She always says "His tanks" or "His fish" maybe she's not so bad after all LOL

This is great in an Ideal world,
There is no "MY" in a marriage...it's an "ours" thing.
but remember man,
they'll get everything, and half of whats left...if you take that too far...

The best deal I ever got was from a disgruntled divorcee, I got a 150 and all the trimmings for $50.00
She said, "That will teach the bastard to put those dam fish in front of me!"

I loaded it up and jammed out of there...:naughty::naughty:

My wife lets me get pretty much anything I want for the tank room. But it's her say on what goes in the living room display tank. The real problem is that I travel alot with work (gone as much as 2 months at a shot). When I'm gone the fish are lucky to get fed, forget about wc. I even set up a system where all she needs to do for wc is open 1 pvc valve to drain each tank down and move a hose around to each tank to fill. Before I get anything I even ask if she will take care of it when I'm gone. I've finnally given up 2 display tanks and thats it. Until I get automated feeders and wc'ers.

I was in the hobby and my boyfriend just liked fish or whatever so when we started going out he asked me to find him a small tank so I got him a 29gal tank. We set it up and he had his first sa/ca tank. I told him he needs a bigger tank for when they get bigger so he got a 180gal tank and now he has a variety of fish (getting ready to down grade on the fish though). It works well he has an intrested in inverts and I have mine in africans, so he has his tanks with his stuff and I have my tanks with my stuff. We also both agree we would rather have a few large tanks then a bunch of small tanks.
