Are you telling him to move out in order to grow up?

I know plenty of 19 year olds that have moved out....and screwed up hardcore...because they can't afford it. Then they go running back to mummy and daddy...all that money wasted and they are back at square 1. Thats not growing up...thats screwing up...

Its almost impossible to move out at such a young age and be really successful. As far as I know Mike is still a student...moving out would just make things even more complicated and stressful.

Good point,I moved out when I was 17.It's taken me 10 years to be in a position where I could pay bills on time, drive new cars, etc.

TO everyone and no one,Where the heck did prostitution come up? I think people are teasing because most guys at that age have a variety of different things on their minds, which IMO socially going out with people is probably healthier than thinking of only fish 24/7 !?!?! (unless you are STUPID and get someone knocked up or an std which is easily preventable !!) point being, get out of the house and off the computer once in a while! (and only leaving the house for LFS trips doesn't count!!!) Not everyone comes from a family where they can happily stay at home until they are 40 something ,work minimum wage forever and get an easy carefree life along with anything else they want, including HUGE fish tanks! Sure, several people may have had to "grow-up" and leave the house at 19 (or earlier)and if they can't hack it ,it's because THEY Screwed up or partyed too much or didn't work hard enough ect. not because they left mommy and daddy's unrealistic and coddling nest too soon( the world DOES not single people out to pick on, it sucks for everybody, some people just get a free ride sometimes, other can have it rough?), NOw as far as Del's situation, if he is getting the chance to stay home and go to school and for the most part live basically rent and other real-life -responsibilities- free to be more successful than those that "screwed up" because they couldn't stay at home forever, he should be VERY greatful. A big part of growing up responsible is having priorities and making sacrifices. Not everyone is even in a situation to have the size tank Del has already! If he is really thankful for the opportunity to stay at home and better his chances at a successful future he does realize that this is his probably his #1 priority now and that he may have to sacrifice his dream tank until later. DEL this isn't a post against you its just a rant of mine, You do seem like a fairly bright guy that occasionaly gets a little depressed/whiny/attention craving ( which can often be words describing myself!) With all this being said, I do hope that you can get WHATEVER SIZE TANK YOU DREAM OF ! I just want you to realize the good fortune you are already enjoying and just might not be able to see on your own. I realize that this IS the place to "relieve" stress and whine, moan, complain about anything fish related or not and thats what makes MFK so great , and for that I am truly thankful!!!! ;) :screwy:  :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

I don't know where you got prostitution out of that.:screwy:Maybe that's the only way some people can get a girl so you automatically make that assumption.

i was never social, i was antisocial for the longest time, i didnt really have friend, peopel i can trust and rellie on, had something in common with both in interest and values, hell i hate to put myself in the spot light, but i never even been on a date :WHOA:, its not that i couldnt get one, or none :naughty: but jsut never thoguht about it or even cared since it really meant nothing to me.

finally evolving, its frustrating, since you havnt or done know about **** you would have done in high school, im new to jsut about everything and it really sucks ass.

and i try, but it seems like i cant win :( :irked:

My bad.I think I qouted the wrong post.Either way, i wasn't suggesting anyone getting one(unless you're that ugly):D .Just giving Delgado a hard time.

I feel like you and I may have had somewhat similar school situations, This is something many people today would never believe about me, I always felt like I was an unhappy child, lets just say my parents did not have an ideal marriage and went through a VERY ugly divorce that I still have to hear whining about til this day, During school (8th grade and on)I was almost always able to get girls(like we are all capable of doing) but I was so afraid and depressed, I felt like the whole world could see right through me and knew all of my problems like they were written on my forehead, I was afraid of people liking me!! :screwy: I felt like it was all B.S. I was very ashamed of this as well. Before starting High school I was shipped off to live with my dad , who worked very hard and had very little time to teach me things I needed to know by that time(like being able to interact with people) needless to say I was VERy quiet in school and chose to be alone when possible. I got into big trouble my freshman year and luckily was able to graduate from a home schooling program missing out on a "typical" high school experience. I guess my point is who gives a damn about all that stuff in the past ? High school isn't like the movies for everybody, and I think that is what I used to want ? I made all of my really good friends AFTER high school( actually around your age 19), and trust me you have LOTS of time to make new friends, "court" lovely young ladies :naughty: and party til your head pops, you are very, very young still and you can/will experience all of the things you maybe "worried" about having missed out/being behind on. Just don't be afraid to shake things up and try something new, you may have to leave your comfort zone and it may not be easy but just go for it, if you never change things around, things will always be the same. If you feel like you are really frustrated , don't be ashamed to go talk to someone that can help . I think it is cool that you want to get your aro the best tank you can for it, it seems like you have taken great care of it to reach its current size! That sucks that you may have to give it away but that would actually be pretty noble of you if you can only find it the right home ? Good luck with everything tank/aro/ect, :asianarow :D :D
