i am 17 and i have come to notice that you can never win with moms
its literally impossible then when you try to reason with them...they walk away
i feel ya man...it happens to the best of us lol

maybe i should jsut get rid of my arowana
at least ill still have my other fish
but that doesnt seem right
everytime i give away or sell my fish i always find out later they died, because some ***got doesnt know how to properly take care of a fish. *sigh*
But i think of the bright side
i could order a new one 180 and make a new reinforced stand, that will definately make my mom feel safe.
and with the aro gone and a better filteratino system that means new fishes
at least ill still have my other fish

Usually, it all comes down to the way you approach it. If you go and ask for a 360 gallon aquarium first off, then of course she's going to say no. It's a big thing to ask for. What you have to do is ask for something incredibly ridiculous first off. Tell her that you want to take a trip to Fiji to snorkel with salt water fish. She'll say no. Then ask for something smaller and smaller until you get to the 360 gallon. THEN, it won't seem as bad as all those other things you ask for.

How is it not worth it? Does the idea not appeal to you? to have more freedom, not have to answer to your parents at all, have whatever fish you like? Bring some nice Filipino boys home etc?
