It seems that istlanum are becoming less available. I've said once or twice that they are available but since then I'm thinking I was WRONG.
It seems most folks that have istlanum have a male, and some have a female. I have an 8 inch male that I don't want to part with. Somehow we need to get some of these fish together and get some fry. The females are always in perile during breeding and raising young, so I think we need to get some ideas or techniques out there to help ensure breeding success without having another female istlanum killed.
So who has istlanum, what sex is it, and would you sell it?
Also, those of you with good breeding (fish) experience please give some ideas on how to make sure we get fry without a chewed up female. A guy in NC that had a pair used a divider successfully for a long time, before the male broke through and killed the female.
