IT HAS BEGUN MUAHAHAHAH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
progress report pls!!

We dident do anything yesterday i have football and dident get home till 6:00. I'm thinking im just gona order by 2x 2" bulheads and 1x 1 1/2" bulkhead today and not drill till tomorrow. If i do that than we will router the tank and finish the cabinet doors along with the molding or w/e my dad said on top.

y u gunna order 2 1 /12 " ???

is that for return??

get on to the size of your pump...

you probably dont remember what i said about drilling so here it is again.
drill from one way, stop when you see the pilot drill bit just poke through the other side.
then drill from the other direction.
if you just go one way only,it could "splinter" when it comes out, like on plywood.
and go slow,dont push hard.

also they set up large systems all the time and I would call them and see what kind of bulkheads they would recommend and how many. Give them all the dimensions of the tank and figure out what return pump you want to use that way you know the minimum of your return pipe before you even start drilling. for your tank 3/4" is not going to do it as a return.

this is looking to be a great project keep up the good work vitamin D letd get some pics up

I have pics but im to lazy to ulpload them right now, but we filled it and it holds water.
I ordered 2 x 2" bulkheads and 1 x 1 1/2" bulkhead. I'd prefer more of the water going into the sump rather than not enough :)

man up and post the pix:)

Good idea, even though they will flow the same because it is the sump's pump that dictates how much water flows into the tank and then into the sump. With bigger holes you have more options on output of the pump and you can add on such things such as UV sterilizers and such.

I agree with rallysman, SHOW US SOME PICS!
