We cut the 2 peices of acrylic out of the top sheet, we used 4 holes on each side so 8 in total and used the jigsaw to cut from 1 hole to the next giving it a round edge instead of square, our cut was a little off ( we dident cut enough ) but thats fine because we still have to sand or router the tank and it will take enough off to make the tank perfect, my camera is in my gfs car and she is comming over tomorrow or wend so pics will be up than. The stand isent done yet so shush. The cement comes tomorrow.

Do we put the cement on the bottom of the peices than put them on, than put the aqarium silicone on the sides. Dont know how else to put that in words. sorry.

Hey, we were promised pics :irked:

Glue everything and clamp it. When the glue is dry, then crawl in and silicone it. If you made your cuts right and dressed the edges, you shouldn't need silicone.
 
By the way, the fumes from the glue are really nasty and will knock you out if they are allowed to become concentrated. They do not get you high, but they will give you one god awful head ache the next morning. Keep the garage door open and some fans running.
 
Not in the garage mate, its outside on the porch. :) Lots of fresh air. We will probably get one side semented on.

My dad wants to put the cement along the joining peices of acrylic only on the inside. Is that all we need to do?

rephrase that if you can. are you meaning he wants to use the glue like silicone? In other words, put the pieces together and then squirt a bead of glue in the corner? I am hoping that is not what you meant. The joining faces need to be glued.

Lol, i had to pressure wash the porch cuz there was so much acrylic everywhere.. and thanks for believing in me... SYKE!!. :) Pics will be up tomorrow, along with some of the glued parts also.

That can be your payback if you get it done and water tight. A picture of it filled in your house and stocked with a sign saying "milkman" and you giving everyone the finger in front of it..

unless he has milkman tattooed across his forehead, im not sure if we could take it as proof it was his :)
