yea in the seems is silicone but theres so much dust and crap thats its hard to tell, what do u mean by guts?

This should maybe have it's own thread but I am seriously tired of synical *** people who think they know everything there is about fishkeeping and building things on this sight. Either help with ideas or keep it to yourself. I think you guys are doing a great job Milkman

looks great man. they dont use chlorimines in your neck of the woods??

Thanks ammerman :) made me a feel a lil bit better today has ben horrible...

Messiner: not sure about the chloromines i would check but not sure how, I just use prime when i do w/c so no clue :). I do know we have alota chlorine though.

My dads going to be comming home early from work on monday and we will sand the sides and give them that round look, we will also finish adding the doors to the tank and make a canopy kinda thing. tuesday I'm not sure what hes gona do with his day off but I'll be in school. And wend I think we are gona drill the holes, clean the inside and outside of the tank and then fill the beast will water.

Great job on the tank so far!! Just keep working towards completion. Don't let people with negative comments deter you!

the reason i ask is if their is chlorimines it cannot be easily removed with a carbon cannister like you can with chlorine. this is a problem if you want to do a drip system. rallysman says you can buy an expensive filter for it tho....

Can I ask why you're using silicon?
From my understanding, if the pieces are joined correctly then it should be water tight without any gaps/bubbles.

By guts I ment the supports and bracing for the bottom of the tank.

OO, we are just using silicone so we dont have to go back if there are leaks It was just a extra feature. Also, for supports we have on the left side 6 2x4 lined up 2 next to eachother its kinda hard to explaine. than 6 in the middle and 6 on the right. We have 2 shiets of plywood on the top and 1 on each side. It held the tank 400lbs My dad, girl friend, best friend his girl friend and I which = somewhere around 1000lbs and it seemed fine, But we arent finished with the stand yet we still have to add 4 more 4x4 on the back. check my pics earlier of the stand it u can see what i mean.
