Now the ? for you is this how many of the homicide in us are a direct result of law abiding citizenry who were acting in self defense? How many are a result of violent offender commiting crimes on innocents.

I could very easily take you to task on this yet shutting down presumptive nature of your thoughts would quickly lead to the closure of this thread.

Ask anyone who has come to North America from those areas of the world on this subject and you will quickly find out that much of what goes on there is not on your statistics simply because of the corrupt nature of the govt structure over there.

Shallow graves tell no tales and they most certainly do not end up on the books of the statistic makers. What of the violence against women and children that goes totally unreported etc. etc. etc.

It would be interesting to have a coffee with the op and have his daughter say what she thinks. I find kids are way more brilliant than people give them credit for.

IN KENTUCKY
Kentucky’s license to carry concealed deadly weapons law became effective October
1, 1996 and is contained in KRS 237.110 through 237.136. The following summarizes
the main provisions of the current law and includes the 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006
amendments.
I. Deadly Weapons
As used in the Kentucky Penal Code, (See KRS 500.080.) "Deadly weapon" means any
of the following:
(a) A weapon of mass destruction;
(b) Any weapon from which a shot, readily capable of producing death or other
serious physical injury, may be discharged;
(c) Any knife other than an ordinary pocket knife or hunting knife;
(d) Billy, nightstick, or club;
(e) Blackjack or slapjack;
(f) Nunchaku karate sticks;
(g) Shuriken or death star; or
(h) Artificial knuckles made from metal, plastic, or other similar hard material;

A concealed carry permit in this state is not just for firearms like other states, its for ANY deadly weapon as it is in fact called a conceal deadly weapon permit, not a concealed gun permit.

Yeah, the problem is a few people with bad judgement or just not enough brains do things that put a taint on all gun owners/enthusiasts. Kind of like the idiots releasing their snakeheads into local waterways makes all MFKers look bad.

Very sad story, poor judgement all around. I believe it came out that the kid renting out the uzi was trying to convince the father to let the kid shoot the full size uzi instead of the micro as it has less recoil but the father insisted on the child shooting the micro uzi. God, just thinking about this makes my heart break.

If the wife and I get into a place where we are comfortably financially I would love to adopt if we decide to have more children. No child should ever be left with out a loving home.
