its about that time of year for power outages folks, so this is a reminder to all of you to buy a generator if you dont have one. $300-500 isnt much money for keeping your fish alive, especially for alot of us it would cost 10 times that amount to replace our beloved friends.

I'm assuming wind, blizzards, and icestorms for those of us in cooler climates, in the warmer places it's the opposite because everybody has their air conditioners on at full blast. Although come to think of it, that's true in the summertime here too.

well atleast up here in washington its becoming winter, which means wind storms, snow, ice etc... which all leads to power outages, just last week we had our first outage at my house but only for a few hours. last winter the power was out for a week and i know alot of people lost their fish during that time.

Cant we just buy a battery powered airator?, much cheaper than a generator and keeps the fish alive when the power goes off.
