its about that time- an early warning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah last year I was out of power almost a week with our storm.

I wrapped my tanks in comforters and as many blankets as possible. Amazingly the temps only dropped to about 72 in 3 days (it was in the 30's and low 40's outside). Then I borrowed a generator and reheated and wrapped em up again. Worked well for me, although i did lose one of my catfish, but no others.

Generally we have at LEAST one power outage throughout the winter storms up here in washington. Good thing to be prepared.

oh and remember not to put you generator in the house. We don't want to hear about your death on the news. :nilly: :nilly: (yes there were a few cases of that during last years storm)

Not sure how that happened....Sorry......

Maybe a mod can erase one of those cause I can't edit it anymore.

I bought a generator this year because I had to run my tanks on a power inverter 2 years ago when we were getting pounded by the Hurricanes. It worked but I had to keep starting my cars to keep there batteries charged. Luckily I haven't had to use the generator this year

Yah our power goes out here when the wind blows too hard i m think i m goin pick up a generator this year for my snakes and my 75 gallon also just ordered alot of mice in the mail and don't need to be losing all my frozen feeders.
