Great pond do you see your cichlids much other than feeding time?
I ask as meet someone while fishing while back with large pond with Jags -Devils -dempseys and they hide all the time other than feeding.
I was at his house and its like looking at large driftwood,plastic pots used as caves no fish than once he threw in pellets cichlids popped up at or nowhere lol.
I have fire mouths and Jewels and the Jewels hide 24/7 unless feeding time . Was thinking of large cichlid pond but had change of heart .

I don't see them that often because their pretty dark. I actually took them out. Male was very bold so it was pretty easy getting him out. As for the female...that was a week's chore. LOL
wow! that really looks good. i've been thinking of doing something similiar with all the extra hollowed blocks i've got lying around the house. never even though of anchoring them i place with wood (was planning on using cement, but didn't like the idea of it being permenant). anyways...thanks for sharing!
