Just built one like this myself!!:nilly: Mine is only 3ft by 4.5ft, but same idea. Works great!:) I still have to make a ledge on the top to Finish it, don't care for the cinder block top. How much did the DIY filter cost you? I got a pondmast 190 on sale but im not sure how great its going to work.

Here is my almost done picture.
Any comments or suggestions!?!

The DIY Filter cost probably $15, but the water pump was about $100

Are you going to staple the edge down since you don't want to use cinder blocks to hold it in place? It looks good!

I had to relocate the pond...I made a thread about it...I'll try to find the thread later on my lunch break.

thats what i was thinking.. u had moved.. how could you take all that apart and move it:confused:

awesome pond Ben! What's the life expectancy of the tarp?

Are you talking about the pond liner or the pre liner? The pre liner is the first time I'm ever using it, but it's just to soften the sharp edges of the cinder blocks, so it should be fine for a long time. As for the liner...well...during the move, the original was damaged while I was trying to rebuild it. As I tried to patch it up, I kept getting new tears, so I just said, "screw it!" and got a new liner. The new liner is thinner, but it's holding so far, but it's only been up since late April/early May.
