iv officialy entered the cichlid world

i'm still teetering on the edge of entering the cichlid world. what i've read in terms of water requirements is making me afraid to get any. i really do want some shell dwellers though. i actually have a 20gal long with white sand just sitting around waiting until i gather up the dedication to getting the conditions right for some lamprologus ocellatus. an lfs by me has a bunch of them.

yeah i think ill eventually make my way into the african cichlid world. dont got room now, they are super colorful, will eventually get some.
 
Wow you jumped right in with that selection!! You picked up some pretty mean fish though but very entertaining. I think aside from the texas you will need to seperate the others when they get a lil size

the dovii's going in my 180 for sure cuz i know they get huge. but im gonna try n put the jag,texas,flowerhorn,and red terror in my 75. but i dunnno im gonna try n mix n match see how they like each other. im also growing them all up in the same tank so i hope thatll help them make a heiarchy and be able to keep together for the most part
 
IMHO i think the prob in that lineup is the flowerhorn. I have kept all those that you have together except the FH. Those fish are extra extra mean. Red terror was one of my favorite fish ever. Hella personality!!! GL. Please let me know how it goes.

at 6-7 inches the jag my roomate had in a 125 dominated the tank to the poit a similar sized oscar hid in the corner behind a plant...

no i know theyre all agressive fish and im gonna mix n match between my 180 and 75. like i said im growing them all up together so im thinking thatll relive some tension
