IMHO I think you should start planning on a bigger tank now. Those fish get big and mean, and they like their space. But you jumped into the cichlid world feet first. Get ready to roll.

The texas looks like a regular one. I've never seen a mature Blue Texas, but Im sure he'll get his colours around 4-5".
