My Gar tank is alot smaller...8 ft circle 5 ft deep,,,every bit of 4 tons consentrated in one spot. My gar is a 3 car attached w/ 6" slab, underpinned ,wire mesh and 6 bag mix.....and the slab still dropped 3". Be careful Mr.!!

Hmm... I never thought about that. I have a 1018 gallon intex pool for my pbass, oscars and rays and i never once thought about the 4+ tons of weight damaging the basement floor.

Your good..the soil under your basement slab is prob virgin soil that cant go anywhere. If the man made condition under your gar slab settle...thats bad. If you tapp on the slab with a broom stick and it sounds hollow like a drum...there could be a void under the slab. this could be mud jacked. This has been my experience a dozens of times

*Alright...lil update*

Summer is officially over here in Colorado and it's going to start getting much cooler at night here pretty quick. Plus I have begun my 366 gallon DIY plywood aquarium build and needed my garage back!! Yup, took the pool down over the holiday weekend! It was really a happy / sad feeling but I spread out the fish over several large tanks I have and bought a monster 400 gallon livestock watering trough to put my monster cats in for the winter. This trough is prefect too, 8'x3.5'x2 so it fits nicely along the side of the garage giving me lots of work room for the new build. All the fish seem happy and I was able to start my build once the pool was out and completed the stand to the new tank. ;)

MP get them out of that galvanized stock tank ASAP, the zink will kill them! There is a thread in here that I'm looking for that he had it kill most of his big cats; as soon as I find it I'll post the link. I just don't want to see you do it. You could line it with a pond liner?
