Hi Nic.

The tank/pond is full of Gambusia. And still is. Lots of frys.

There were lots of water snails, but now there are less.

My father feeds one or two times a week, and i feed two times when i go, at weekends.

The ray seems fine and healthy. I hope she continues like that. I believe that Winter is going to be the major problem.

I don't know if it comes and go because he was in my inside ray tank and it was dificult for me to see is underside.

But i'm going to had some salt to the tank and see what happens.

Not good whatever caused it.. ammonia maybe? substrate? That is a tough one.. usually it irritates the whole disc.. not sure if 'hyperplasia' can effect ray gills like they do fish.

I do not think you need any more filtration, I feel like some of these people have never seen an actual pond or stream that wasnt man made. I would suggest a power head to created some sort of flow and get the surface moving and aggitated. Also, if you threw a few dozen freshwater clams in there they would filter the water naturally!

It's very strange.

As i've told, it's been a while that i haven't see is underside. I've starved him for 2 days for transportation and i hope you are right turkeyboy. It's not a ray that is normally managed and i hope it's stress.

Miles the substrate is the pound liner that i have in that tank. Nothing more. Amonia, i don't know. The tank is big and i do a lot of whater changes, but...

My hope is that it's what turkeyboy says, but i don't think so. I don't know.
