It isnt a big deal, more of a curosity I guess. I bought 2 Jags at the same time. Bought them both at about 2 inches. That was probably 5 months ago. The one jag is still 2 inches, hasnt grown a bit, the other is probably close to 6 or 7 inches already. Weird. The little one is not picked on, he is always out and getting to the food at feeding time. He is just miniature lol Is it possible that he might just be the runt of the litter? Does it work that way with fish?

Ummmm.....that is very odd. 5 Months and no growth. BUMP!

Yeah I thought so too lol He is perfectly healthy as well always swimming around. If he dosent grow in the next 5 months Ill probably give him to a friend with a smaller tank before the other jag gets big enough to eat him lol Maybe I could use him to breed the all new "Mini" jag for 50g and below tanks hahahah He is pretty cute though. Strange...

You never know where the fish came from. He could be older than you know and could be stunted. Or maybe he was born with a problem. Even if he was a runt he would still grow.

have you thought about getting another mini jag and breed them?

I personally would love to have some cute little jags swimming around :)

lol Yeah I bet a lot of people would. Jags in a 20g, there's a million dollar idea if it could ever be done:)

Anything is possible, im just afraid that eventually he will be eaten:)

maybe it has some sort of internal parasite (worms) and that is affecting its growth

maybe he is just a dwarf.. humans have dwarfs.. why not fish?
