I've never been so Appalled

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats how i got my 55g my friends exboyfriend had bought it and stocked it with seahorse. kept it in the garage out back and said it was too difficult to take care of so he stopped. she had told me about it and by the time i got there everything was dead with build up and red stuff growing every where. It took about 4hrs to get everything straight and now its at the foot of my bed.

I've picked up a 20g at a garage sale for $5 with everything. It had some major water stains, but nothing a razor couldn't clean. :D

Dang, you got some monsters, you must have a huge tank. The arrowana's alone require some serious volume if I'm not mistaken. As a kid, I would go to a local pet store to see an arowana they had for sale and it was HUGE! They always talked about feeding it a mouse but I don't think they ever did. I had a managuense years ago. I just got back into the aquarium scene. I purchased a 125 gallon over the weekend (full set up which included 4 huge piranhas) for $350 with a nice wood stand. I plan to sell the piranhas and start a nice CA/SA cichlid tank.

Cant wait to see pics of your new set up.

I do have multiple big tanks, as of now i'm running

1 220g
2 55g
1 20g
2 10g

With a large plywood build going to be underway by the end of summer, It'll be a little over 600g

So I'm pretty sure I'm good with the stock, I said I got a new 55g, not that I have only a 55g? Try not to jump to conclusions next time:chillpill:

I'm aware you said that but I looked at your "My tanks" under your profile and it only listed one 55g. I even went back in your recent posts and saw where you said you had a 300g on lay away (this was 2 weeks ago).

I'm glad that you managed to find a 220g so quickly. Your aro should be happy.

I stopped paying on the 300g because I found a cheap 220g on craigslist for 500 and I have been reading alot in the plywood Diy section so i decided to go that route, the lfs charged me like 300 bucks layaway charge, but I figured it would be cheaper to pay 500 for the 220g and get back 1500, save money for my plywood build than to pay the full 3000 for the 300g setup just to upgrade again in a few months. And I haven't changed my profile on here in quite a while, they haven't all been in one tank since the were all under 2" with the exception being the oscar at 3", and the Royal, the Aro, The Ebjd have never been in the same tank as any of the others, and the bichir was immediately removed when I seen him hanging out of the oscar's mouth. But if you do want to flame some ppl for overstocking, there's an entire thread w/ pics you can have a field day with lol:ROFL:

shoot buddy all ya gotta do is click his tanks under his name to see what he got goin and from what I see his tanks are plenty for the present size of his stock all fish under 6 inch in size i think he has enough active water at the moment

That's quite an impressive list of aquaria LOL. I plan on starting with some small cichlids. I love the managuense, so I'll put one or two of those, then add a couple green terrors a red devil, firemouth, dempsey. The usual cichlid stuff. As the jag gets bigger I figure I'll have to either start getting rid of fish or get rid of the jag. I'm just excited to be able to get the fish I like and keep them for a while. I had a 55g, a 45g, a 30 g and 2 10g (feeder tanks) and those tanks really aren't big enough to keep anything for a long period of time. I plan on getting a 30 or 45 for my son, he wants to keep one of the piranha. I also want to get a couple 10g for feeders again. I like to sain minnows out of the creek for feeder fish (plus sometimes you catch some bonus fish to keep in the tank).
