I've said it a thousand times-ich meds will kill Loaches. Period. Never ever use ich meds, not even at 1/2 dose. Always use salt and heat only and always for 10-14 days.
Ich meds are fine at half doses in some tanks but not in others. This is due to differing water parameters. If you must use ich meds watch the loaches closely for the first two hours and do a 50% water change at any sign of major discomfort.

There are different white spot strains. Some worse than others. In the german aquarium industry we had a problem with an aggressive strain 5 years ago that we believe came from south america. This strain was worse for almost all species of fish in our shops. The meds didn't work anymore so we beefed up the UV on all our systems. This was the only measure that stopped the problem.

On a personal note I have to agree with others here that the best way to ensure long term trouble free enjoyment of loaches is with the use of UV

When I got into this hobby, I did a lot of research ahead of time to find out what works and what doesn't work. For example, UV was in and carbon was out.

UV is used in public aquariums, zoos, etc., whose biologists, vets, and other scientists form their policies based on scientific evidence.

It's also used in aquaculture where the main motivation is maximizing profit. That's a reasonable indication that not only does UV work but it's more economical to pay for UV than to replace your stock. If they weren't seeing results, they wouldn't use it.

damn! im treating my tank with loaches right now salt the salt and heat method. not using any other med tho, and they all seem ok. its only been 2 days tho. worried now:S sorry bout your losses! wat kind of salt did you use and what strength?> im using table salt at 0.3%

Shouldn't be using table salt!!

Actually table salt is fine. Everyone always says, "Don't use table salt!" without knowing why because they hear everyone else saying it. The tiny amount of iodine in table salt won't hurt the fish.

Killed by the meds.... Try them again, this time if you notice ich, simply raise the water temp o 85+ and let the ich run its course. It usually goes away in a few days. Keep the temp raised for two weeks at least.

Also, NO SALT either.....

Salt is fine, although frequent water changes + higher temps are probably more important for treatment. I've only treated with salt so I can't compare results for w/ salt and w/o salt.

I'd be more worried about the anti caking agents in some brands of table salt. I base this on personal experience so I'd recommend using rock salt where possible
