Jack Dempsey cichlid info?

I was looking at my JD today and I noticed white lumps inside his mouth on the bottom lip, what the hell is this?

thats kind of worrysome.. def google that. i have noticed a significant color change in my jack she has a ton of color on the gill plate and a red tip along the dorsal. i picked her out of the convict tank @ lfs cause she was cheaper lol and iknew her colors would pop. but now it seems as if she only is bright with tons of purple and green and blue when feeding. ? dont know if this is odd oh and also i got her when she was 1 1/2 in. on 4/20 and now 7/2 she is 5 in. thats pretty good growth. here is a pic.

yeah, definitely look into that white growth; that is NOT normal (!?)

on the whole Dempsey + Convict relationship, I had an 8" male dempsey and 5" male convict that were absolute best friends, always hanging together, never fighting . . . then the convict got sick (I quarantined him, treated him, but he eventually died), and the Dempsey got sullen and mean after that . . . he got traded in to the LFS

who knows, maybe they bonded . . .

Lb football 20 Gave you correct info... You dont sex Jd's by the red on there fins... most LFS dont have a clue.... Males look better than females IMO..
