Jack Dempsey coloration

Hi i know this is not about jack Dempseys but im wondering if i can add two kissing fish with my 5 inch senegal bichir

Weird that there is such a color difference. These are my JD's

The second one is a green terror or blue acara. First and third look like young male Dempseys. I really like the third one!

When I purchased my juvie male/female pair of Jack's they were even lighter in colour than yours. That was back in February. They didn't take long to colour up. Especially adding them to my tank with black substrate. They are now extremely dark and have beautiful colours.

Here is my JD juvenile. Purchased him/her just over two months ago. Black sand substrate and I think he looks great.

My JD very light colored substrate and rocks. Hes colored up just fine. Hes always this color.

My 7 year old daughter will be happy. She picked out this fish and named her Jacquelyn hoping she was female.

Just wanted to show a pic of my female jack. She is a little over 2 inches. I feed her nls pellets, DIYbeefheart mix on friday and Saturday( contains spirulina powder and astaxanthin powder for the blues green, and red colors). I hope my girl grows up to be the most beautiful. She is very peaceful and is the dominant in the tank. I think her being the dominant one in the tank allows her release the colors.
