The guy has 239 posts and has been on here for nearly a year and a half, if you have the internet there is no excuse for not doing some research on the fish you plan to keep and what they need to stay healthy. What has he been posting/reading on here for over a year to think what he is stocking his tanks with is in any way shape or form acceptable or going to work?

He joined in Dec 2009, pretty sure that was only about three or four months ago. ;)

:duh:

IDK what I was thinking there. :screwy:

Anyway, still 200+ posts.....

Post count doesn't equate to fish keeping knowledge. I see plenty of people who joine MFK in 2005 with 200 posts and others that joined in the summer of 2009 with 2000 posts. Some people just have more to say/ask than others it's the quality of the post that matters not the quantity.

Here, here!! I find it, interesting for lack of a better word, how people start out as newbs, but then they make mistakes, they learn and they get better become successfull. But then they see someone come along who is just starting out themselves and they have zero tolerance for the newb mistakes of this new person, even though they most likely did some of the same things way back when they first started out.

A lot of the members here have vast experience when it comes to keeping monster fish. However having experience does not mean that you are helpful.

Quite frankly, if you've gotten to the point where you have that "experienced snobbiness" then you shouldn't be replying to newcomers to the hobby. Stick with your group of experienced friends and have a blast. Nothing wrong with that....some people just aren't cut out to be teachers, advisors, etc.

:)

I was a jerk, i will admit it, but i just hate when people give advice to help, then the person asking the question won't listen and lets a fish die. I have made plenty of mistakes, and still do, no one will ever know all about fish, but just take peoples advice when given to your problem;).

Yeah, but what i'm saying is how can someone spend any amount of time on here and think 55g- spotted gar, royal clown knife, gymnothorix tile, x2 red belly pacu, common pleco, 10g- empty, 30g GROWOUT- firemouth, managuense, male red dragon flowerhorn, jack dempsey, convict, clown pleco, sengal bichir. is ok and then keep adding to it?

Anyway, I don't want to go on about it I just thought i'd clarify what I meant earlier.

^ I know waht you mean, and we beat the crap out of this thread. I think it 200 and some posts for the wake up call to go through. I think it's all good now
