I have a custom made 80 gallon tank that is 40x22x22 and i'm interested in getting a Tiger Oscar , Electric Blue Jack Demsey and a Pleco... Would this tank be big enough for these guys.........Also They will all be bought as under 3" so they will grow up together.....

From what I know, I can say that oscars tend to grow very quickly from a young age until they reach about the 9 inch mark. Jack Dempsey's on the other hand tend to grow rather slowly. If you had a larger dempsey, then it would probably be fine. You should also take notice that the electric blue's are more timid and fragile than the regular jack dempsey and depending on the O's personality, he could push him around. I'm sure somebody with more experience could probably tell you more if I missed something.

Sounds pretty good to me Oscar will probally run the tank as Electric blue JD arent as nasty as normal JDs. Good luck, I hope you dont run into any troubles.

only if you don't care about whether the P's or the JD end up getting killed/harassed exceesively

i would say they should be fine, but when starting out i would get an oscar that is a bit smaller than the dempsey because of the slow growth rate of the dempseys. example 1" baby oscar 2-3" dempsey. i used to have a regular dempsey, he went from a 35g hex to a 55 gallon to a 125 gallon all by himself, when he died he was 13" from head to the end of his tail.. he was huge. really cool fish
