Gt for sure, out of all CA cichlids, JD is my least Fav, I hate the mouth and body shape, color doesnt do anything for me either IMO.

Put another one in the Green Terror column, Both are stunning visually but I love owner responsive fish, and in my experience, Jack Dempseys are a notch below Green Terrors.

I like GTs better myself, Ive never really seen a JD that has impressed me. Its hard to beat a male GT in terms of beauty.
I say GT, when ever I walk up to my tank my female puffs out her gills and looks like a little pit bull until she realizes its me and then follows me all around the tank and watches me when I sit on the couch or move around. She can also tell me appart from my boyfriend. Once we stood together and then walk to opposite sides of the tank she follows me and watched me not him :] Shes the little light of my life, definitely my favorite fish right now.
I've had both, especially some dempseys that lived long, but I'd say GT because they are more attractive and less skittish. I didn't agree with the way the question was originally asked because I feel some of the things being looked for in the fish (more aggressive vs. less; feeders, for example) are not necessarily a good thing to me
