I've never seen any adult jds either. But to be honest I don't go to fish stores too often. Oscars I saw at least a dozen at the store I got my male gt at. All 6"+ most at or above 10" It was kinda sad to see so many cast off.

I vote green terror. Yes jacks have more range of color and bigger teeth. But between the two my gts are the most interactive and personable. My jack can be more lazy and not really care when I'm around. My gts are always watching me and will follow me. And they are always actively doing something.

First off you never ever feed either of those fish live food-it is bad. IMHO they are semi aggressive compared to Dovii or Trimac but aggressive enough not to go in a community tank with tiger bards and Angelfish. I prefer the GT as far color. They get around the same size and both grow slow however GT's get slightly bigger-Biggest Male Jack I ever had was 10 inches while my GT peaked at 1 foot. They are easy to sex and not picky eaters.
Jack Dempseys grow faster than green terrors. I've have both, I do think the green terror is a prettier looking fish but it really has to do with the individual personality. both are very aggressivebut again it depends on the fish.
Interesting pet smart usually gets decent size Red Devils that are juveniles and sometimes they're Jack Dempseys are decent sized . For whatever reason their Oscars are small but if you know about Oscars they grow super fast.
That is true I do not see Woodshore JDs in for stores ofte I actually see more green Tara's command it just depends green tires are just not traded in as often. same with Red Devils
Theyre both kinda similar fish with similar attitudes. Bout the same size. Different looks for sure.
As far as aggression goes, I would say JDs are more vicious and predatory while GTs are more showy and territorial. Gt can hang with a wider variety of tankmates ime.
I have a male jd now and im thinking about getting a male gt to room with him. We'll see how that works out.
