Really neat cross. You don't see many Dempsey crosses, and that's a shame. They're a beautiful fish.

I have noticed that jds and texas are often qute amarous to eachtother. Fish tend to pick mates based on how much alike they look to themselves so it works best with blue dempsies. Ironially they tend to pick mates based on colour and not on body shape which is how you can get this to work. And get the fattest female you can... with the male being larger
