They laid eggs while I was at work!!! The females color has changed pretty dramatically. She is guarding the eggs, and the male is not really doing anything. I have a bunch of plecos, so I'm getting a divider first thing tomorrow. She's chased my gold nugget out of his usual place near the egg spawn, so hopefully things will be OK until then.

I wish my JD's would lay eggs they have paired up and swim around all day together, but nothing.....
The divider I bought at petsmart is a piece of crap. Really, this should be pretty straight forward. A piece of plastic that divides the aquarium. But the plastic side part is cracked, and it isn't tall enough, and it also twists so it doesn't seal the sides completely. What ended up happening is the tiny gap on the side let fish through, and they would get stuck on that side.
I ended up netting out all of the fish and putting htem in my other 55. Its really crowded, but so far my Green Terrors are being pretty good sports about it.
Hopefully I didn't stress out the jacks too much. The male is hiding in his little cave, but the female is still guarding the eggs. Should I turn off the lights?

This will be my first batch. If they hatch and live, I will be giving them to my LFS which always gives me great deals (not the one that sold me these as EBJDs, heh).
