Jag compatability?

i want to get a fish that can hold his own just in case the jag tries to kill him.

what could hold its own against the male jag though, he is around 8 inches and is MEAN!

Red devil, dovii, flower horn, pacu, catfish, pbass

which one would you pick out of them. which one has the best personality and/or character to them?

Red devils,dovii, and flowerhorns can hold their own, with lots of personality. PBass get huge and beautiful. Catfish rarely come out and get large. Pacu get very large, but are kind of a dumb fish, love to hit the sides of the tank.

i feel the dovii and red devil are the better choices. lol. im not sure about the flower horn. and catfish are boring and obviously pacu are dumb.haha. how big do dovii and red devil get?

I was reading on wikipedia,which usually has very good info on cichlids, that a Midas for some strange reason usually get along with jaguars.Give the Midas a try though,they may become the best of pals ever.

from what i understand doviis get huge i think males are around 27" and females around 20" this is what i think i remember hearing

the jag has been in the tank for a while so he thinks he owns it. i Believe a mida might work though. Do you know max size for them?
