You got a lot of cool shots,, You have them at every stage.

From my original spawning 5 survived that were moved into that 10g. The 2nd spawning (form which all were moved)
all got eaten by those from the first batch

from 3rd spawned I removed none. They produced a lot less too.
At present they're in prespawn mode and today noticed I noticed of the 15-20 fry that were were there from the last, all are gone.
Eaten. I guess/ I have cut a little back on how much I feed them. The female is a much more voracious eater than the male. I worry she could outgrow him.
I find it strange that the male will not eat anything, literally, but bloodworms and 'Xtreme big boy 3mm pellets' Great food, but what kind of fish that hasnt eaten in 24 hours turns down a piece of fresh tilapia? Where as the female will eat anything. He doesnt have to to produce all those eggs each month, im sure has something to do with it.

Of the 5 from the first spawning, 3 remain. I try to keep them well fed, bc one was/is a lot larger/aggressive.
she (I assume lighter equals female?) is a little lighter.. than the other two, grew much faster//
be interesting to see what they will turn out to be .

From today,,I was unable to get the smallest of the three, -small but fast.
But these are the other two.

should have added, These fry are about 60 days old,
3/4" - 1".
Their thickness or girth varied, with the lighter one
being larger than the others from her group/
This is probably irrelevant given they're not all born at once.

Great pics Winston...as I said earlier your wc male is a favorite of mine...I don't know why but my parental male like yours has an uneven appetite...does not eat when I think he should while the female never holds back....as you mention I think it has much to do with them having to utilize energy to produce eggs...I have seen threads where it is stated that spawning does not affect growth but I don't see how that can be when you got females spawning every 2-3 weeks... but all in all I also think we fish keepers probably feed more than they actually have to get in order to survive and even grow..seems like predatory species have that ability to go a while without food and still be alright... In my opinion from what I have seen the color of jag fry is so variable that I don't consider that the best indicator of their sex when they are well under say 4 inch....having said that I do think the most dominant will be obviously larger and will most often have a light body with dark spots and the subdominant individuals will most often be all dark... at least what I observed with mine...and i have seen all my grow outs go through a range of situationally inducded color/pattern changes being lighter or darker at any given time that makes each look like a totally different fish...I think on page 5 and 6 mine were the same age as yours for comparison...the biggest one at the beginning of and throughout the thread is the one I have identified as male...he grew to be noticeably bigger at about the 6 week mark and has remain the biggest thus far of a group that came from the same spawn...and it seems like now his growth is accelerating.....

Also Winston I like how your male has some lighter markings.....which I believe some don't know that males don't always have all black spots/markings...
