You could probably keep like 7 or 8 juveniles..until about 4 inches by then thy should pair up and you can seperate them but I would say 75 or 90 gallon minimum for a single pair of mag...

Umm... no. Bare minimum for a single specimen should be 75 gallons. For a pair, no less than 125. Could you imagine a full fledged 18 inch male getting pissed off and not killing his mate in a little 75? Nope.

I just got a new baby jag cause i felt sorry for him too..but it will be fun watching him turn into a monster.. here is his little picture.. haha i bet mine is smaller then yours.. i do not think he is an inch.

I never saw one so small either..but he is eating like a trooper and not shy ..always at the top waiting for something good to eat.. i had to leave because last thing i want to do is over feed him, and he would just keep on eating.. so we are doing great so far.. thankyou..

When I got my jag I had to get him because right when I walked up to the tank he flew up to the front of the tank(the lfs has the tanks going front to back so the 13" part of a 55 would be the front) and started waging his tail like a puppy, this and the fact that he was the first jag i have ever seen in person made me lay down the $25 for this soon to be bad boy!
