I have 2 jags looking to get rid of one he is to aggressive he is about 11" so anyone live in Atlanta pm me and we can go from there

depends on the jag itself had one that was timid the other got so cut up attacking my common plec i had to put it down.
Aggression can sometimes be toned down by putting in other fish that are different species and/or different shapes (dither fish). In my opinion, the more aggressive the fish, the more dither fish you'll need unless he's kept alone of course.
Wish I'd known this concept when I had a jag. Not sure if 100 silver dollars would've cured him though. He was young, evil & nasty!

Sorry, been lazy about my pics, will post them tomorrow night. As for dithers, they were eaten by my Jag, I even had Pictus cats that were sucked in and descaled before my eyes.
Perhaps I just have a grumpy Jag, but nothing (except an armored Pleco) can stay alive in the tank.
But perhaps you will be lucky with dithers, and they will draw off some of the aggresiveness of the Jag.

Mine is fairly docile when left to be. I tried putting a FH in with him. The FH was constantly pestering, right until the Jag absolutely flipped. It rammed the FH into the side of the tank and proceeded to beat on it until I intervened with my net...he was only 3"
my little jag got his first live fish food the other day. my 4yr old little girl and i gave him a standing ovation.

I introduced my Jag into my tank last year-All of the current inhabitants live happily with him-with the exception of my small male JD.
The 7.5" JD started harrasing the Jag when he was 10". It became to the point I thought that I would have to remove the Jack as he constantly was nipping and flaring at the Jag. After a week of the Jag having ragged fins...they started light jaw locking with the Jack still being the aggressor. I came home one day and noticed the Jack in the corner-His head was black and marked up and his jaw was hanging loosly. Turns out the Jag snapped the jaw of the JD.
The JD has healed up but no longer can close his mouth. I hand feed him and he is doing well-He still is a little aggressive to the Jag??????????

i have a 4" Jag and a 7" JD. the JD likes to chase the Jag sometimes...but my Jag is a Hoss. he never backs down to my JD. they both flare at each other. even if the JD is just passing by, the Jag flares at him. The JD is in trouble when the Jag grows an inch or so. CANT WAIT!!!!
