I completely understand how you guys feel about quarantine tanks. I'm 25 and still live at home with my parents. Thank God they were ok with me getting this 125, but a second 20~30 gallon tank for fish to live in temporarily? Now that is something I don't think they'd be ok with...
Not to get too personal but I do plan on getting married soon and moving out. When I do, I will 100% have a quarantine tank. I understand the need for it, as a safety precaution, but I simply can't have one in my parents house (for now
).
If something were to happen I would do my best to treat the tank obviously. I will say this, I get my fish from reliable stores. I would never buy fish from a store with more than 5 dead fish in a setup up. That's just my rule of thumb. I shop at places with outstanding, knowledgeable employees. Not your typical Petco (which a few in my area are incredible!)...
Granted, that doesn't mean all the fish in the store is healthy. But I trust them. Haven't had an issue yet! #FingersCrossed
