Jaguar catfish growth rate?

got mine from rapps about 6 months ago at about 4". hes probably put on an inch since then. he seems to go through periods when hes really active feeding and gets a big gut, countered by periods where he never leaves his lair behind the filter head for weeks and consequently slims down. not sure, but i think his activity level may be temperature dependent.

I haven't noticed any growth from mine. I do agree tough sometimes they are much more active than others. I was hoping to keep them in an unheated tank

I kept mine ingested for awhile. Even when it was in the 30g. Because at some point the purple wolf in that tank broke that heater lol and I didn't notice. And then when it went into the big tank with the black wolf it was definitely I heated. Only thing is I'm not sure the temp of the water at the time.

nice im sure he'll love all of that space to explore. is he morrowi or oncinus? looks morrowi but im no expert.

hope that devil doesnt pick on him. my flowerhorn took a nice chunk out of my jag at one point. needless to say the flowerhorn got the boot from the tank lol.

That's an oncinus if I've ever seen one. Morrowi seems to be much less common. And has smaller dots from what I've seen and generally A bit darker bodied but that can vary specimen to specimen due to genetics and even environment.
