you cannot go by that rule all the time that females have solid striping while males are spotted. most look the same at small size and even into adult hood ive seen males keep the stripes like the females. id say its still to small to sex for sure right now. i have always sexed by the tailfin on larger jags 6+ inches. on both sexes the tails are loaded with speckles but the males tend to even have more then the females. ive raised quite a few and this seems better for me,

Looks female. But I have had males with stripes.
Best way to tell is to flip it over & vent it.

Cheers mate. That is what i was thinking too. I have another smaller one in with her and he is definataly a male. Ill post a pic of him when he comes out of his hole lol
