Jaguar cichlid sexing

thank you very much for your answers now i know he is a male as he has spots , a golden background , pointed fins is also aggressive so i know what i should buy to get a pair,a female....on this site i got the perfect answers in two days so i can say that is an amazing , helpful site
no if you look at it, it has a black line goin down the side looks more like a female to me but it is hard to tell when at a young age you need to grow it out more then post pics another way to tell male and female is to look for color blue purple color shows on males only. but like i said it looks female to me
i can't think is a female as he has spots not that bars that females have and also sometimes it shows a bit violet sheen on his body.....and females don't have any spots just lines no ????
and also at 4 inches any male jaguar cichlid will have that line from head to tail but he doesn't have any other bars just that one from head to tail....i want to know an answer from somebody who can say me sure.
now i have another question : my jaguar cichlid isn't eating of 2 weeks when i had him ...he doesn't eat pellets,earthworms,flakes,small live fish.....what can i do to make him eat something ????? i don't want him to die by starvation......???????
