20ppm is water change time, you want keep that at or below 20ppm. you do a 50% that bring to 10ppm, at a 90 or fin level get that down to 5 or so. again 20ppm is water change time, if its at 20ppm after water change then nitrates been running high. again less I get slammed from folks, IMHO.

from studies, at 23ppm nitrate it starts to dmg a fishes organs over time. 20ppm is your buffer. gives you room for error.

I agree my nitrates are above normal, I haven't tested my water in about 2 weeks so thats my bad. Ill do another water change tommrow morning. Unfortunately I dont think ot will help my bass much.

no ideal if will or not, but will most certainly not hurt. not sure they get duck mouth or not, its a virus. can try running a coarse of pimafix and medifix along with water changes and see if pristine water along with a natural inhibitor helps.

neither will effect your bio filter, they are just natural anti-bacterial and fungal treatments for the water. they cure nothing but preventatives.

think neosporin for a cut, great for the cut, worthless once cut is infected.
