......
so store said shes been there for 4 weeks and that the person who traded her in had her in a 30 gallon and that shes a proven female and she has laid eggs before
now say she lays eggs in my tank she gunna end up becoming teritorial and destroying all the other fish in the tank thats the last thing i need
am i better off selling her or sticking this one out and seeing if it works out?
the way i was thinking its all males and everyones aggressive
Male

It looks dang small to be a year old at 6-7". About 3 inches behind my average jag growth curve, glad it's fallen into the hands of an MFK-er.

You can usually easily tell by the distinctive patterns on the fins and body. Female jags tend to have much less of it. The males also tend to have more of a purple hue to their body. You can also usually tell by the proportion of the fins to the body size of the fish. Or you can just vent them.

alright guys awesome thanks again
ill keep you guys updated on how things work out in the tank
so far so good
jag minds his own hes found his teritory
doesnt really bother other fish
more of a loner
i rather have that then have him beating everyone up

ok ill do a monthly picture and update for you guys
let you no how the jag is doing and how its getting along with everyone
and most important if im able to keep water check
his diet will be a mixture of Hikari gold and staple
and night crawlers maybe 2wice a month
and what ever bugs i catch outside

oscar is bullying the jag alot so much that everytime it comes out of its cave it gets chased down
when should i exspect this to change?

Did you rearrange the decoration in the aquarium prior to introducing him into the group?
