I agree, along with the bars , male would be showing more of a trail on the fin, and bars be fading out and going more mosaic.
but not take my word for it, let me put some vids up of my jags.

Looking at the OP's for a second time, the dorsal, the color, the bars like pops said, 99.9% sure its female.

I really love this nut job of a fish regardless of gender. Just seems that a lot of males I see have the same identical barb. Not sure
