Jaguar hybrid is destroying his tank

I have a jaguar hybrid, not sure what his other half his, he is around 14 inches. His game is taking off the filter tubes on both filters, and trying to bite me when I put them back. He actually has hidden one tube behind his "cave" and moves the other one around wherever he pleases. His other toy is the heater. I had to buy an "indestructible" heater. By the way, "Jag" lives in a 75 gallon tank. I think his other part might be losellei ( probably misspelled, sorry). Any ideas what kind of toys might be good for him and keep him away from the filter tubes?
 
Upgrading the tank would be a good start.. then possibly adding some type of dither or a female for him to play with. lol
 
An upgrade will be next year. Hopefully a 125, maybe a 150. As far as any other fish, he's already killed a pleco. I'm looking for a very large pleco that won't fit in his mouth. Maybe in a larger tank, I can get him a friend that won't become lunch.

Water changes can be quite an adventure with some of these big guys! I did get him for his attitude and the wild way he looks. He is quite friendly at times. At 5:30 am, when I am leaving for work, he is smacking the top of the tank and looking over at me for food. Whenever I am in the room, he is usually out watching me. I guess the entire living room is really his territory.
 
Whatever he is, he is my favorite fish at this time. This is the first really big cichlid (over a foot) that I have had.
