hi everyone recently my uncles tank broke and i inherited a 2 inch oscar and a 2.5 inch jag they are in a 75g, yesterday when i got home the jag had seriously beaten up my o:cry: and i dont have anymore spare tanks, so now i have to get rid of one and i really dont know who

do any of you have any ideas as to which one i should keep because i am really stuck in deciding

thank you very much!

FIRST!!....lol

Dude some people will bag on me for this but Oscars are Quaas!! Jaguar FTW!! if you don't plan on upgrading the tank in the future, get a pleco or catfish that doesn't grow over 10" and call it a day... you could get a jaguar catfish...lol jaguar tank....

Agree with previous post...the oscar will be comfortable by himself in the 75 for life...the jaguar will not.

If you didn't say it was going in a 75g I would say Jag ftw but I agree with the previous posts. The Jag will need a bigger tank in the long run so keep the O if you're not going to upgrade soon. Besides, O's make great wet pets, though not quite as majestic as a full grown Jag.

my male oscar and male jag get along fine
jag has his area (a PVC pipe that he like to hid in) and oscar has a big rock on other side of tank
give them some hiding spots maybe fighting over territory!
then again you will have to re home the jag in the end if you dont plan on at least a 125 gallon tank in the future

ok so those guys above are the oscar lovers i told you about... oscars get up o 15" easily... jaguars(male) around 16" females round 14" captive jaguars do, but are not common for getting up to the 21+ inches they get to in the wild...

YOUR TANK IS TOO SMALL FOR EITHER FISH!! but if you are going to keep one it don't matter because both will be to big for your tank.

you should honestly trade both of them in for smaller cichlids.. you just asked me which one to keep so i said go for jaguar... but if people are gonna talk about tank size you might as well find out the truth instead of being tricked into keeping the oscar, since both of them will be too big eventually!

i don't know what kind of oscars maduro is talking about because i have seen some big ones over a foot easily..

Oscars!!!
