Personally, I think he should sell both fish and get some smaller fish that are more suited to a 75g tank. Plus I said long ago I don't like Oscars and I love Jags, so the reason you're digging up this thread I thought had finally died and starting more crap is beyond me. Ditch the oscars. Nasty pitbull fish with human eyes.

Go with the jaguar, they actually get wayyyyyyy more color than most cameras can capture.

I would say a BP is a pitbull, Oscars are more of a saint bernard.

I have never had an oscar and a jag tear at eachother. I recently had a green terror kill a jack dempsy-both were 2" at that time. Coincidently I bought an oscar at petco that was obviously community raised. Inserted it into paired gt and jag tank. Oscar got picked on by jag for 2 weeks. Now they are swimming buddies and the oscar is starting to stand up to the gt's. I don't believe Oscars are dumb fish. They have lots of character. Jags are my fave.

I have a pair of jag, jd and a gold Oscar in a 125 gallon tank. They all have weird relationship, Jd chase Oscar around all the time but Jd scared of the female jag. And she scared of Oscar, and Oscar and female jag double team on the male jag?
