It can work. Depends on the jag and the size of your tank, which is how many gallons?

the jag is at full size about a foot long i got a 125 but im having cloudy water issues so its on hold

That is a nice looking Jag.Give it a try and if it doesn't work out get rid of your other fish and keep that bad boy alone in the tank but you never know he might love all of his new tank mates.
Mine keeps to himself swimming up and down the current for hours eating and staying in his cave never fighting with any of the other inhabitants.
