Idk if I'm in the right location but does anyone know of a food to enhance the Jaguars growth and coloring? I want to get my jaguar some good living conditions and food.

Beyond a high quality, protein pellet, daily water changes are the fastest way to get a fish to grow. By removing old water, besides growth inhibiting nitrate, you remove pheromones and hormones that may also inhibit growth. I prefer 30% daily water changes if I want to increase growth speed.
But I know in some parts of the world, discus breeders do 90% daily water changes to get young discus to a marketable size in the quickest amount of time.

Wow daily water changes!? How often would I have to put prime in then? Every time I do a water change (once a week 50%) I put prime. I have the tank divided up with a flowerhorn on the opposite side too...

Your Jag is beautiful but I try to enhance my flowerhorns mainly by brine shrimp and krill. Huge difference I only feed my bonsai flowerhorn frozen brine shrimp to see the difference and she is very red I mean noticeably red.

This is with daily water changes plus brine shrimp diet and pellets. 90 percent diet is brine shrimp. I will be stopping brine shrimp I just wanted to enhance the color for now

yea he looks great! so you do daily water changes? Do you add prime every time? Wouldn't that be a lot of the water conditioner in the tank? or do you not add it all the time. can you give me an idea of how you do it?

Tap water never used anything else. Been doing this for 6 years in my 200 gallon tank not one issue and water parameters always great

The daily water change is with my 10 gallon tank I'll do like 10 percent per day sometimes 30 percent

die , what size tank and size of fish now? any quality pellet is good, esp when young, water quality is very important also, but let your water tests tell you when to change. looking for nitrates to never get over 20ppm. I love my jags, this an opportunity to show off my WC pair.
