yea, that does kinda make a difference, but I did see horseshoe crabs which are illegal to kill or possess in the U.S. so that's losing Brownie points in my book

They CLAIM that fish were dead and unfit to be eaten. I seriously doubt that. To be unfit to be eaten, the fish would have to be rotten. Can you imagine working with that much rotten fish? I dont. It would not surprise me if the fish were alive or freshly caught (knowing japaniese culture's "respect" for animals they were most likely alive)

Well,according to the article the creators of the rink have bowed to pressure from the public and are going to melt the ice and remove the fish so things could get pretty funky around there.I wonder where'd they get all those dead fish from in the first place,

This is true Japan is remarkable in that they continue such illegal activities as whale and dolphin hunting,illegally collecting fish species after they agreed not too and other atrocities.

I know, but i have dealt with people who make money of animals. they lie all the time. in this case i have hard time believing that the ring owners bought a bunch of rotten fish to freeze (since it was unfit to be food). best case scenario is that they bought fresh fish (which is a sin to use food like that). worst case is that they froze life fish (which is not far fetched since it's japan)
